Siemens has been answering tough questions confronting Taiwan’s industries.
Siemens' earliest presence in Taiwan dates back to 1955 and a representative office was set up in 1970. In 1989, Siemens Limited Taiwan was formally established and it signed a strategic alliance with the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MoEA) in 1994. In 2012 and 2014, Siemens was awarded the Green Systems Partner Award as well as the Diversified Innovation Partner Award by MoEA respectively.
Over the past few decades, Siemens Limited Taiwan has been serving as an innovation partner to many heavyweight companies and important medium-size companies of nearly all industries in Taiwan. By utilizing its close partnership with these companies as well as state-of-the-art technologies from its global innovation network, Siemens has been answering tough questions confronting Taiwan’s industries, making significant contribution to Taiwan’s economy. Around 20% of Taiwan's power capacity is generated by Siemens’ equipments and the island-wide power dispatch network also uses Siemens’ energy management system. In parallel, Siemens is promoting wind power in line with the Taiwanese government’s renewable energy plans. The company equips TAIPEI 101 with energy-saving solutions, making it the world’s tallest green building. We are also a leading supplier to Taiwan’s rail transportation systems and e-buses. In addition, we equip 70% of the major semiconductor & TFT LCD manufacturers with automation solutions, as well as providing fully integrated solutions to Taiwan’s machine industry.
