Siemens Mobility is one of the worldwide leading international suppliers to the railways industry. As a single-source supplier and system integrator, Siemens provides Automation & Power, Rolling Stock, Turnkey Systems and Integrated Services, all expertise necessary to cover the entire spectrum from signaling and control systems to railway electrification and rolling stock for mass transit, regional, mainline and high speed services.

Siemens Mobility has been involved with many key rail transportation projects throughout the island since 1990.

Apart from the mainline business with Mobility is one of the major suppliers for the Taipei MRT system. Siemens provided the System Integration, Electrification, SCADA, Depot and Rolling Stock for several lines of the Taipei Mass Rapid Transit network (MRT). The comfort and reliability of the MRT system is a major reason for the high passenger acceptance. Siemens Mobility is responsible for  Taiwan's second largest city Kaohsiung's the first two MRT Lines, including the Electrical & Mechanical project management and core systems, i.e. Rolling Stock, Signaling and DC Power . The MRT System in Kaohsiung City has started the operation in 2008.
